My name is Ian, owner/operator of NorthWest Performance and I would like to introduce myself...
I have been a automotive technician for over 16 years now, since I was 14 years old. I started out at Reichert Chevrolet in Crystal Lake, IL for 5 years. I trained under some of the most knowledgeable techs out there, one of which is rated #3 Master Tech in the nation. After high school I went to Triton College in River Grove, Chicago for two years where I received my Associate degree in Automotive Technology. I'm also a ASE Certified Master. I graduated in the top 3 of my class, and was actually asked to come back after graduation to teach there. Although it was a tempting offer, I wanted to do more than teach...
The first 8 years of my career was working in dealerships, but eventually I got tired of the politics in the dealers and decided to move on to try smaller, private owned shops. Although most of the politics were gone, I found that there was a lack of workmanship and customer satisfaction. I didn't want my name to be associated with that kind of work ethic. That is when I became serious about opening NorthWest Performance.
As of September 1st of 2007, NorthWest Performance was official, and up and running. My customers have followed me for the last 16+ years, knowing that they will be nothing but satisfied with the honesty and quality work that I provide. I specialize in anything from replacing your carpet, diagnosing your check engine light, rebuilding or replacing your engine, or upgrading your vehicle for looks, performance gains, and even better gas mileage. I have a local body shop that I send all of my paint and body work, including aftermarket body kits and installations as well. If there is a service that I cannot provide, chances are I know someone who does.
